I'm in crew manager training right now and I got done practicing reassignments a little early so I thought I'd write a quick post...
The weather here has been absolutely amazing. Sunny and warm every day. We had the weekend off so I went hiking and got some beautiful tanlines. I also went up to Trail Ridge Saturday afternoon with some other summer staffers and enjoyed not being able to breath. We got all the way up to 12, 300 ft in elevation but it was worth it. My mom's mailing me a package that includes a camera cord so hopefully within a few days I'll be able to get some pictures up.
Yesterday a bunch of us went to church and then on to Lake Loveland for a picnic-y lunch and some beach time. My friend Shannon that lives in Loveland came by with her boyfriend so I got to spend some time with her which was cool, but a little bit strange...
Today was probably my favorite day of all. As a few of you may know, it is one of my life's goals to learn how to drive a bus. Well, today I became one step closer to that goal. have Ryder rental trucks all summer and this morning we had behind the wheel training in the parking lot of a huge church. I now know how to drive a truck! and I get to practice all summer...yes!!! I'm so excited that it's a bit ridiculous. The only downer, after behind the wheel in Loveland we were all supposed to drive our trucks back up to Estes Park (about an hour) and I was all set to drive it back up the canyon except that our truck needed to be serviced. So I don't get to drive it again until Wednesday at the earliest :(
Time to assemble crew packets :) Hopefully next time I'm here it'll be to post some pictures!
