Sophie decided to try too, she just had a hard time figuring out how to get back off it

Sophie, just 'cause I love herI moved up to school Thursday night and it's a bit weird because I'm in the same apartment building as I was last fall and living next door to my old apartment. I'm still working on unpacking and organizing... I hate this part of moving in! Friday morning I left for my cabin and spent the weekend there. We enjoyed the sun while finishing getting the cabin ready for summer. We stopped by a little green house to buy some flowers for the yard and my brother was complaining about having to go in there before we could go to the "silo" for ice cream, but he was pretty excited when he stumbled upon watermelon seeds. He dug up an area and got it all ready to be a watermelon garden and even did that planting (with a little help from my mom). He then proceeded to check the garden every 5 minutes to see if they were growing yet. He's going to be 18 in July in case you're wondering. The next day we decided to try growing a few vegetables since I'm living so close and will be up there often this summer so now we also have a garden for carrots and cucumbers! Oh how I love gardens!
On Sunday morning we went garage-saling (?) as I was trying to find a small kitchen table for my friend, Leah, who just moved in to an off campus apartment. We did not succeed but had some fun looking through all the old junk. My mom and brother left for home after that and my dad and I hung around the cabin for another day. We put the boat in the water, put the cover on the lift, split wood (yes... I did succeed at splitting some of it after a lot of time spent failing!) and then we headed up to the cabin to relax. Around 8 pm I was so worn out (all that log splitting) that I fell asleep on the couch and finally crawled in my bed at 9. With as early as I went to bed I even slept in until 8 am this morning. We cleaned the cabin up, went to see Darryl (the one who said "Judy's gittin' confirmed") and look through Europe pictures, and then I came back to campus.
As I was unpacking on Thursday night I realized I had very few summer clothes and I wondered how that could be. I'm not a big shopper and when I buy clothes I usually go through my closet and get rid of clothes as well, so I could not figure out where all my summer clothes would be. I thought back on last summer and what I would've worn and it dawned on me. I wore red "Group Workcamps Foundation Staff" shirts for the whole summer except about 4 days every 2 weeks. That would explain why I only have 4 real shirts. I figured there'd be Memorial Day sales so I attempted to shop and I hit my first bit of culture shock (Culture shock as a generic term, not specific to experiencing anything culturally). All of my reactions came to me in spanish. I could not for anything get myself to use phrases such as "excuse me" or "yes, please" in english. I proceeded to stop talking for the day. I'll have to work on that.
