Food

I haven't gone shopping for groceries in weeks. I've learned a few survival tricks. First of all, there's a Subway near the Edu. Bldg on campus so if I don't have a lunch prepared to take with on my long days, I go there. I once paid $4 for a 6" sub. Then I realized my favorite sub is on the 5 for $5 list. Yeah! I now can buy a footlong (2 meals) for $5.28. Lunch Tuesday and tomorrow. I've also discovered that a box of rice-a-roni gets me about 3 meals. So I'll make a box, add extra water while it's simmering, then add some frozen or fresh vegetables. Nutritious student meal. So in a week I can go through 1 box of rice a roni with some vegetables, a packet of ramen, a frozen pizza (2 meals), a box of shells and cheese (2 meals), and a footlong sub... all for under $15. It's great. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get my life back and a). have money for real food and b). have time to cook.

At least you wont gain the freshman 15. And thanks for feeding my fish. How generous of you to hand out food to so many when you have so little.

It sounds like starvation to me... 3 meals out of a box of rice-a-roni?! I think it's time to pull out the deer steaks and get some protein in you.
