Spring Break

... starts tomorrow afternoon :) I have my senior seminar from 11:30 to 1:00, then lunch and off to Madrid for the night! Kendra and I are staying with my uncle's friend from St. Charles who now lives in Madrid. We have an early morning flight to London on Saturday where we're first meeting up with our friend Javen, dropping our bags off, and then going to find my dad and his friend. We'll be in London until Wednesday morning at which time we'll head across the channel to Normandy. After about 3 days there we're going to return to London for a day and then it's back to Segovia!

I can't wait to:
1-see my dad!
2-see our friend Javen!
3-visit London again!
4-have a break from these oh so rigorous classes :)
5-go to a pub for Pim's and Lemonade

After break we only have 8 days of class left (6 for me since I don't have classes on Thursdays) and then our semester is over! I can't believe how fast the time has gone and have been spending a lot of time thinking/reflecting on my semester here. I have a list of the things I want to do my last few days here.. most consist of my favorite things I've done these last few months such as walks by the river, going to the castle at sunset, drink chocalate caliente at La Colonial, etc. This city has really started to feel like home to me and I've become really comfortable in my house here. I feel I've enjoyed my time here completely and can't wait for the day I return!

My happiness was completed these last few days when I've come to realize just how much my host mom loves me. I tend to get along with just about anybody so I wasn't worried about not liking my host mom or anything, but I was wondering how much she'd like me. From the way she talks about students she's had in the past I can tell there's definitely ones she's liked more than others, and she mainly talks about the last 2 girls from CSBSJU who've stayed with her (she has students from all different schools/places in the US). Just this week we've talked about her granddaughter, Leticia, coming to visit in the US so that she can work on her English and said that me or my sister could come back and stay with her. Just yesterday we were talking about this and she said that even if the exchange with Leticia doesn't work out I can still come back to visit. She's invited me to stay for around a month in her house again for free and then ended it with saying, "you better come back because I want you to be here again!" My trip is complete and my heart overfloweth. (¿como se dice cheesy but true?). I can't wait to return.
