Things I miss..

Sorry I suck at blogging. I always feel bad posting without pictures and then I get so far behind that I never know what I should post about! A lot has happened in the last 2 weeks. We celebrated Carnaval here in Segovia which is the same idea as Mardi Gras. Fat Tuesday was the best I've ever had. After class my 2 friends and I bought ice cream and chocolate and ate all of it. Then, we dressed up in costumes (tradition here) and went out on the town. We were out until about 4 am and then got on a bus at 6:30 am. I was on the floor sleeping when my friend, who apparently gets motion sick, felt the urge to throw up. Not seeing me she turned my way and next thing I knew I was awoken to the feeling of being covered in puke. It's okay, we only had like 5 more hours on the bus after that before I could shower. As much as it sucked at the time it's really funny to look back on so I don't mind.

We spent last week in Andalucia and I want to go back! The weather was beautiful and there was so much to see! I've seen a lot of it before (from when I was in Spain in 2005) but I loved seeing all of it again. I'll tell more when I can load some photos, but for now I want to tell you all the things I've missed lately..

1. My family... I began a small bout of homesickness Sunday night, it's almost gone but I still miss them.

2. Having my own space/being more independent

3. Knowing the weather's going to suck for sure until the end of April. It snowed here today after being incredibly beautiful last week.

4. Biting things off instead of tearing with your hands and putting them it in your mouth in small bites. Sometimes when nobody's looking I'll take a bite off of my bread just to make sure I'm still American.

5. A place to work out. I love my walks but I could go for some weight lifting or a floor to stretch out on.

6. Having my own computer

7. Being able to use my cell phone to call more than just the 21 people I am here with. I love them, but I miss you all too.

8. Kate Westlund. I skyped her today. She has a new, adorable haircut, she makes me laugh, and I just plain miss her.
