Weddings!

I love weddings. Especially those weddings where you know at least 1/3 of the guests. My cousin got married this weekend in a beautiful little outdoor wedding followed by a reception full of the best dancing music. She met her husband in California where they lived for a few years, but he's from Colorado. The Californians (most of the groomsmen and their company) proved to be a lot of fun and danced even more than the Schneider clan (my family).

I sometimes wonder what it is about weddings that I love so much, and I think it's this: a wedding is just another event for people to attend and if they don't know a lot of people dinner could be awkward to sit through. There's always something for somebody to complain about (the tables are too close together, the food isn't good, etc.) However, the speeches are always cute or funny and usually entertaining for everyone to listen know matter how well you know the bride and/or groom. But my favorite part is the dance. As soon as the music starts everybody gets up to dance and has a good time. It doesn't matter if you don't know a lot of people, or if you know everyone. It doesn't matter if there's family problems or broken friendships. And maybe you love every single person around you. But, if you dance at a wedding then you don't have to sit and make small talk. Also, if you dance at a wedding I guarantee you'll get in your car at the end of the night and say "that was fun!"

So let me give you a bit of advice for the next wedding you attend: DANCE!
