Senior Year

I can't believe I'm a senior. Am I really only months away from having a college degree? I spent probably close to 10 hours studying for the GRE this weekend. I'm still not a fan. I've started applying to grad schools. I'm almost finished with the first step of the application process for Teach for America (not my first choice of things to do after graduation but still an option so I figured I'd just get the application done before school started). As for grad schools, the 4 I'm applying to are: Boston College, UW-Madison, U of M-Twin Cities, and University of Denver. All difficult to get in to. I know that I really need to pick at least one school that's easier to get in to but I don't know where that'd be...
Today I had orientation for my school year internship. Through the MN WorkForce Center I'm an intern in an area high school. The main objective of the program is assist in career/job fairs at the high schools we're placed in and to promote careers that are "in demand." We're also meant to be an extra resource for students looking to explore their career interests and opportunities. This internship is absolutely perfect for me as I hope to head in to the field of guidance/school counseling. I'm really excited to start which will be after Labor Day sometime. Because of my internship 3 of my 4 classes are all on the same day and then my 4th is night class, which leaves me with every other day open to go in for in my internship. Since I won't be starting until after Labor Day I have a few days off this and next week! I'm fine with that, only a little sad that on the first day of classes (always very exciting for me!) I won't have class :( Oh well, I've got plenty more class to come!
And some pictures just for fun...
Here's Chris and I (my summer roommate) the night we celebrated her 22nd birthday. She's old. We've only been living apart for 2 weeks but I really miss living with her!

And here's a favorite of my cousin Sara :) She was puttying nail holes in her sister's new house and upon entering this closet decided she didn't fit and would never use it for hide and seek.
