Some friends and I decided to roadtrip to Chicago last weekend. What a great decision! 3 of my friends and I bought tickets for a show back in July and we made a roadtrip out of it. Chris had to work until about 2-ish on Saturday so we left after she got home and then we all had to move to our fall housing on Monday morning so we cam back Sunday night. On Saturday morning after Angela's boyfriend surprised her it was decided he'd ride with as far as Madison, stay with his parents for the night, then ride home with us Sunday. What a car load... but surely a fun one! The show, Spring Awakening, was amazing. It was my second time seeing it and I'm so glad I got to see it twice! It's by far my new favorite musical.
Saturday when we dropped Angela's boyfriend off in Madison he drove us around the UW-Madison campus as Chris and I are both looking into grad school there. We both fell in love with the area. After Madison we headed East to Milwaukee where we spent the night at Allison's sister's apartment. We got all dressed up Sunday morning and drove to the city. We spent some time in Millenium park and then had some cheesy Chicago style pizza. Mmmmm. We walked down to the bridge, took a picture with a mime that did nothing and then headed to the theater. We were back on the road home by 5:30-6 ish and arrived back in St. Joe about 2:15 am. What a trip. The road trip was so much fun that we all kept forgetting the reason we were headed to Chicago...
Here's the backseat on the drive down... we got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic near Monticello. What a great way to start out!
Here's Allison at the bean in Millenium Park. This was by far my favorite part!!! Well... and the show and pizza :)
