What a Funny Day

So, my day started out pretty interesting and it just keeps getting better...

I woke up about 5:54 this morning to the intense pain of my first Charlie Horse...ever! I think the worst part was that it was my first one so I didn't know what they felt like. When I woke up not able to move my leg and screaming "ouch, ouch...ouuuccch!" My roommate woke up in a frenzy trying to figure out what was wrong. She's a nursing major so she proceeded to grab my leg and try to massage the knot it. After we were both settled back into our beds I apologized for waking her up. She said, "No, that's fine. I thought you were having a nightmare!" Apparently I talk in my sleep quite often.

After I woke up for the day I headed to my first class at St. John's and then got out of class around 10:45 to find a voicemail from my friend Patrick who lives in Ohio. We met in training for GWF this summer and he's just a hoot. The voicemail was quite comical. It began with him saying, "Hey... Baby... do you ever realize how you can't use the word 'baby' in any way in which someone will take you serious?" It went on from there and I just walked down the sidewalk alone laughing at his message the whole way. I'm sure I looked cool. After listening to the entire message I called him back and sat outside the computer lab telling him a strange story about the elements when I realized that it's always at my prime "weirdo" moments that I have to encounter people who just aren't ready to know how weird I am. I would go into more detail but won't since I am unsure of who exactly reads my blog. Take my word for it, it was funny on the inside.

After that I went to la clase de Espanol on the 3rd floor of the Quad where the fire alarm began sounding. This has happened 2 other times this semester in that class alone and our professor never has us leave the building because it's never real. The first time it went of (the first day of class) she said, "if it starts to get warm we'll know to leave." Well, today when it went off she ignored it again and we all started laughing. After quite a long time of trying to listen to her speak Spanish over the sound of the alarm she finall realized it was still going off and decided she'd talk for a few more minutes and then maybe we'd leave. Well, when she stopped talking she heard people in the hallway so she went to look...the fire department. She shut the door quickly and started intensely whispering that she didn't know what to do and she had to get us out with out them seeing us. We were all laughing histerically and she told us to be quiet so they wouldn't hear us. Soon we heard them spraying something in the room next to us and were laughing even harder while we envisioned ourselves jumping out the windows and running through the halls full of fire. Eventually the firemen must've heard us because one came to our door and asked her to come out. He told her we had to leave next time it went off...that's all.

It was probably the best morning I've had in a long time. The whole day I've been walking around just laughing to myself...
